__ As The Old Year Fades, So Does My Memory by Rev. James L. Snyder

Rev. Snyder shared a mini-collection of essays with Humor Is Relative centered around the passing of the old year and birth of a new one. Touches of sentimental reflection, ponderings, a few political thoughts tossed in, and more musings. And, since this is a site leaning more to 'lighter side' than being serious, he humourously shared these thoughts.

__ Second, There Is The Year I Re-member by Rev. James L. Snyder

Rev. Snyder shared a mini-collection of essays with Humor Is Relative centered around the passing of the old year and birth of a new one. This one picks up where the former essay left off in sharing touches of sentimental reflection and ponderings. And, since this is a site leaning more to 'lighter side' than being serious, he humourously shared these thoughts. Can you relate?

__ My Good Daughter by Marilyn Rudenstein

A little summer feel to this humorous submission from Marilyn. Mother, daughter, and the daughter's children decide to spend some together; what could go wrong? A touch of a typical family relationship and a little humor! My oh my, how many mothers or daughters can relate to Marilyn's story?

__ Going My Way? by Carol Wells

It is a bit disconcerting at times when realizing you've earned a reputation. Mine is for "always getting lost"; at least with some people who no longer find it odd for me to apologize on being late due to, you guessed it, somehow getting lost.

George Washington and others get the prestigious past tense notations of "… slept here". Even Kilroy gets credited for just "… was here". Me? Likely any historical significance of where I chanced upon visiting could humorously but, also, simplistically summed up as "Carol got lost here."

__ Valentines' Day: When The Honeymoon Is Over by Terry Lerdall-Fitterer

After couples marry it is expected for a level of "comfort" to develop between the two partners. What else, but this 'comfort level' can explain why a husband would, humorously and perhaps a tad erroneously, starts thinking the wife will find it more romantic to receive a Black & Decker® drill versus a black negligee or a red Dirt Devil™ vacuum says "I love you" better than dozen red roses?

__ Confessions of an Adsense Addict by David Westbrook

Most of us have heard of that "lucky So&So"; you know - the guy, or gal, whose web site managed to be lucky with an affiliate program. The rest of us? We tweak and tweak but, despite our inner desires and sense of optimism, our affiliate stats don't care to replicate So&So's. Someone whispered in my ear about David having a little fun with Adsense while his wife was out of town ...

__ Who Would Do Such a Thing? by Carol Wells

Sometimes a preceding event can foretell what is, or may, come. At least this is a superstitious belief some people have when using hindsight. By then, however, it is too late to take heed of the preceding event's warning or portent. On the other hand, it could just boil down to coincidence or just bad timing with the two events wholly unrelated outside of occurring closely together in time. Of course, there are times when humor results from a non-humorous situation - particularly if the preceding event felt closely enough related to the latter one to help bring to mind some humorous thoughts.

__ Watching out for Autumn Leaves by Carol Wells

When a passenger in a vehicle you sometimes find yourself wishing your invisible brake worked or fighting the urge on sounding like a backseat driver. I would never have made it as a driver's education instructor, particularly in southern New Jersey area where people's feet are slightly heavier when on the gas pedal and they have a penchant of "getting one car ahead". This is not including thoughts of natural road hazards one may encounter while behind the wheel of a car - say like something deciding to dart across the road.
